Challenge

Create various projects using relief printing on a printing press, personal and for class, using techniques learned in beginning and advanced letterpress courses.  

 

 

 

 

Solution

Creation of projects including:

  • Postcards of phobias with hand carved imagery

  • Sets of holiday cards using wood and metal type

  • Song quote poster with imagery through experimental arrangement of metal type

  • Personal project consisting of three hand carved linoleum blocks

  • Deck of playing cards created through five runs through the press, four laser cut blocks and a combination of wood type borders
